Electrical Engineering

Diffraction LTD's electrical engineering department provides a complete in-house capability to support the development of advanced military electro-optical systems from concept through manufacturing. Our engineers are subject matter experts on digital imaging sensors, video processing, and free space optical communications. The capability of our internal team includes the following:

• Mixed signal design, simulation, prototyping, and manufacture of custom PCB's including multi-layer boards and flex circuits
• Design of high efficiency miniature power supplies for laser diodes, LEDs, displays, etc.
• Design of custom hardware to support wireless connectivity: Bluetooth, RF, IRDA, etc.
• Integration of GPS capability into products
• Modulation & Demodulation for Free Space Optical Communication
• Fast video processing (target tracking and recognition, automatic gain control, resolution and contrast enhancement, etc.)
• Audio encoding and decoding
• Experts with imaging sensors and detectors including CCD, CMOS, micro-channel plates, cooled and uncooled thermal imagers, etc.
